Memory Verse:

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.

Language Arts: This week in language arts I will be assessing students on their reading levels as well as their writing. In writing they must write an expository text about themselves.

Math: We will be taking our math benchmark this week to asses everything we have learned this quarter. We will also be finishing up our unit on money. We will be taking our test next week.

Please work at home with identifying coins and their values. Throw some change on the table and have them sort the coins by what they are, then ask them how much each coin is worth. The kids know how to count by 5’s and 10’s but if they don’t know what each coin is, this skill will not be helpful.

We had a fantastic learning experience at the Egyptian Museum. Our docent was engaging, entertaining, and most important knowledgeable. The museum is filled with ancient artifacts that have been excavated from areas of Egypt. In our studies, we came to a deeper awareness of how much we needed a savior to deliver us from the false practices and confusion of monotheism. Thank you Lord, for sending us your son Jesus!
