We Are One: Growing in Christ
JUNIOR HIGH CHEER TRYOUTS:
WRITING:
Congratulations to our Young Author finalists: 6th graders Janae Shew, Kylie Arioto, Shauna Howard and 5th graders Mitchell Mar, Vijay Stephen and Hannah Villines. These stories will advance to the next judging level with the AP Honors English high school class determining 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners at each grade level. The 1st place winners will sign their published stories at a Young Authors table at our spring open house.

The required reading for the month of March is autobiography or biography. Students will give an oral report about their person on Monday, March 31 (more details to follow). Class time will be given every day for silent reading and students are expected to read a minimum of 10 pages a day. If they are unable to complete this in class, then reading becomes homework.

The 5th grade will begin Chapter 7: Number Theory and Addition and Subtraction of Fractions and the 6th grade will continue Chapter 6: Expressions and Equations.

This week we conclude our study of Greek mythology by reading The 12 Labors of Hercules and begin our study of Greek architecture.
