MATH PRACTICE!!
I have attached an addition worksheet. Please have your child complete it and write how many minutes it took them to complete it. (Don’t worry about correcting, I will be doing that)

I have also sent some math drill practice pages. These can be done on your own, and do not need to be turned in. They are meant as another way to work on math drills and remembering our math facts.

Focus Character Trait: Attentiveness
I will be focusing on a new Character Trait each week that is related to our Bible Verse
We will write about it, read about it, and practice each new trait 🙂
This week in class:
Tuesday: Chapel and PE
Wednesday: Library
Friday: Music
Math: We are starting double digits this week with lessons on place value (ones and tens) as well as regrouping. This can be a hard concept so I may send home some extra Math practice pages. Check your child’s backpack daily:) I will also send an email too.
Writing: The students are loving their Writing Journals. They have the freedom to write about the prompt and then share it with the class. We have some great authors already in the class.
Science: We are finishing up our unit on living and nonliving things. We will take a short quiz on Friday. No study guide, just reviewing in class. Plants will be coming home soon for those that are ready 🙂 Some have yet to sprout, so we will have “Bean plants: TAKE 2”
Social Studies: We begin a new Unit soon on using our resources.

Fresno Christian Schools Spirit Days are here! Every Friday after, wear your FCS Spirit Wear. At the end of each month the K-6 class with the highest percentage of Spirit Wear worn will be the keeper of the FCS Eagle Trophy for a month! So wear your Fresno Christian Spirit Wear with pride. Go Eagles!!
Box Tops: keep them coming. Don’t forget to count them and put your child’s name on the bag.
